If you are interested in robotics, STEMConnection offers classes and private instruction in the Hickory, NC area in LEGO Mindstorms, Arduino, and Phi-Education based platforms from experienced instructors, for ages 8 to 88.
We offer opportunities for homeschool students to participate in competion robotics programs through our "Home School Alliance".
No previous programming or electronics experience is required. We offer beginner level classes so your students can learn the basics.
Students with prior experience can schedule intermediate and advanced robotics lessons, and are welcome to try out for one of our World Robot Olympiad competition teams.
STEM Connection offers private or group instruction in a variety of programming languages including Aduino C, EV3-G, Scratch, Blockly, Python and more.
We can help students as young as 8 learn the skills needed to make their own video games, interactive presentations for school, or firmware for their own hardware.
Both private and group beginner's classes in Computer Aided Design (CAD) and 3d printing are available for students ages 8+
Bring your LDraw™ creations to life! The Virtual Robotics Toolkit has the ability to import files that are created using a number of free 3D modeling tools.
Then use the LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3 programming environment to write programs to control your virtual robot, just as you would the real thing.
